September 24, 2015 – SAN DIEGO – The Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation kicks off its2015-2016 Jacobs Presents season with An Evening of Jazz with Michelle Coltrane on Friday, October 2, at 6:30 pm at the Joe & Vi Jacobs Center, Celebration Hall, located only minutes from downtown San Diego at 404 Euclid Avenue.

The daughter of legendary jazz saxophonist and composer John Coltrane makes a special appearance at the Jacobs Center in Southeastern San Diego’s Diamond Neighborhoods. Acclaimed jazz guitarist Shea Walsh and San Diego’s own Besos de Coco will also be performing.

Hailed as transcendent by the Los Angeles Times, Michelle Coltrane is quickly becoming a standout on the jazz scene. She and her band will perform their unique retro and modern sound as well as some of her father’s classics.

Guests can enjoy signature cocktails and tapas as the sultry sounds of jazz fill the air in a beautiful setting.
