THE JACOBS CENTER WELCOMES KITCHENS FOR GOOD
The Jacobs Center is proud to partner with Kitchens for Good to operate our 22,000-square-foot kitchen and event space. Kitchens for Good is a social enterprise founded on the idea that kitchens can be drivers for economic and social change for a community. In addition to delicious catering and memorable events, Kitchens for Good will provide culinary and hospitality job training and placement for residents and generate revenue that is reinvested into community programs.
TROLLEY PARK TERRACE AND CHOLLAS CREEK PROJECT UNDERWAY
Diamond Neighborhoods residents might see a few bulldozers along Euclid Avenue and Market Street. Construction on the Chollas Creek Restoration Project and the Trolley Park Terrace affordable housing complex is underway, which will bring beautiful new places to gather and live to the community. We are excited to see these new development projects aid in the overall transformation of the Euclid and Market Avenues corridor, helping us in our efforts to build a vibrant living district.
SOWETO GOSPEL CHOIR BRINGS SONGS OF FAITH TO THE JACOBS CENTER
On December 20, the Jacobs Center celebrates the inspirational power of African Gospel music with two special holiday performances by the world renown Soweto Gospel Choir. Dedicated to sharing the joy of faith through music, the 20-strong choir has been called “powerful” and “jubilant” by the LA Times.
