5010 Market Street, San Diego, CA 92102

November 20, 2018 is the date for the re-opening of the People’s Produce Night Market at a new location and a new day of the week! In partnership with the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, Project New Village is moving the community farmers market to Arts Park @ Chollas Creek, located at 5010 Market Street, just across the street from the Euclid Ave. Trolley Station.

People’s Produce Night Market is a certified farmers market and open-air market, committed to providing access to good food in the neighborhoods of Southeastern San Diego. Established in 2010, People’s Produce Night Market is a year-round marketplace featuring a wealth of farm fresh goods such as fruit, vegetables, herbs, honey and more. Local artisans sell everything from handmade soaps, jewelry, and art to textiles, pottery, and other crafted treasures. Additionally, you will find tasty prepared foods such as homemade tortillas, tamales, vegan options, desserts and more.

We invite shoppers to mix and mingle with the locals and the farmers while listening to live music, dancing and strolling through colorful booths and experiencing the culture and delicious lifestyles of Southeastern San Diego. Once a major farming district, Southeastern San Diego is now revisiting growing our own food and many of the farmers live nearby.

People’s Produce Night Market is truly a family friendly venue where there are always activities for children and our elders. At this marketplace, you’ll find face-painting, children’s books and reading tents, game playing, information booths and health screenings. Each week there will be a different variety of things to do.

To further increase access to good food, we anticipate that we will again establish the ability to accept food subsidies, e.g. SNAP/EBT and WIC, for eligible purchases in early 2019.

Please note the market will not be held on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1 in observance of the holidays.
