COVID-19 Update: Due to safety regulations around the COVID-19 pandemic, the Joe and Vi Jacobs Center has outdoor venues available for rental depending on event size, desired location and date. Indoor venues are temporarily closed for community use. All requests must adhere to the most current local, State and Federal guidelines. 

The Joe and Vi Jacobs Center has various indoor and outdoor venues that can be used by the community for all types of events and activities. If you would like to apply to use any of the spaces below, please fill out an application and staff will review your request: 

Use of the spaces will require proof of insurance, cleaning, staff and other requirements. Please refer to our Outdoor Venue Requirements for more information. For help identifying vendors for your event, feel free to use our Preferred Vendor List for companies familiar with our space and requirements.

Outdoor Venues

Our Celebration Court is located just outside the large Celebration Hall event space. The Market Creek Amphitheater, World Court and Festival Park can accommodate larger groups – the possibilities are endless!

Celebration Hall


Celebration Hall (12,000 sq. ft.) is a grand venue with state-of-the-art audiovisual production capabilities, complete with a permanent stage,backstage, greenroom and dressing areas, as well as an impressive all-glass foyer to greet your attendees. This flexible space can accommodate up to 1,000 guests theater style or 650 guests for banquets. It also  can be reconfigured to six  breakout rooms that cater to smaller meetings of up to 80 people. With complimentary parking spots onsite and the Euclid Avenue Trolley Station within walking distance, this welcoming event space is perfect for large corporate meetings, fundraisers, galas, quinceañeras, wedding receptions and concerts.

Community Room


The Joe and Vi Jacobs Center’s Community Room is an inviting space open to organizations and groups looking to host anything from meetings and gatherings, to workshops and small events that in some way benefit the residents of Southeastern San Diego.

Easily accessible and located on the ground floor of the Joe and Vi Jacobs Center, the Community Room has a maximum capacity of 75 and can accommodate up to 19 tables. For guidelines and to reserve the Community Room for your event, fill out the application form.
