Jacobs Center Seeks Community Board Members

 In Southeastern San Diego, Uncategorized

The Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation has two community board positions open, and we are looking for individuals who live, work or otherwise demonstrate investment in and commitment to the Southeastern San Diego community. Applicants must have worked on a Jacobs Center working team or project and have general knowledge of our mission. Particular skills and experience we are looking for include a background in finance, economic development, law, fundraising or government relations.

The Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation was founded in 1995 by Dr. Joe and Vi Jacobs and their family, founders of Jacobs Engineering Group in Pasadena, California. As creative catalyst and incubator, we work to revitalize 60 acres in Southeastern San Diego’s Diamond Neighborhoods and focus on developing the community into a vibrant and economically sustainable destination. Our work is deeply rooted in community engagement and creative placemaking. The vision for the community was created in partnership with residents and local community organizations.

The deadline for applications is August 25, 2019.

The complete list of qualifications and responsibilities for board members can be found here. After an initial screening, final candidates will be interviewed by the Jacobs Center board at their September board meeting. Board terms will begin in December 2019.
