Jacobs Presents: Charmaine Clamor LIVE in Concert!

In Arts and Culture, Events, Jacobs Presents

The Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation presents Charmaine Clamor live in concert for one night only at Jacobs Center’s Celebration Hall on Saturday, November 2 at 8 p.m. This is the final concert in the Jacobs Center’s “Fall into Arts” event series.

Clamor began her singing career at age three, entertaining passengers in buses traveling to Manila, Philippines. Now, she is a world-renowned singer, celebrated by The New York Times as “a gifted vocalist” and by The Los Angeles Times as “one of the important and original new jazz singers of the decade.”

Regarded as a cultural trailblazer, Clamor has earned her Queen of “Jazzipino” crown. Jazzipino is the musical genre that results from melding traditional Filipino melodies, languages and instruments with the soul and swing of American jazz.

Tickets for this special night of music and culture can be purchase at $30 for general admission or $50 for a VIP experience that includes stage front table seating, post-concert meet and greet with Charmaine Clamor and a full-length CD. The evening is sponsored by the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation (or should we say Jacobs Presents), Filipino Press and The Lumpia Club.

Proceeds benefit Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation’s art initiatives including free events, performances and more for the community to enjoy.
