Gallery Media Group includes women's lifestyle brand PureWow and a collection of social-first media brands, such as @cocktails and @ballplayers on Instagram and TikTok that reach over 200M consumers. Additionally, GMG has an expansive experiential arm rooted in Gallery Houses-a fusion of social content, creators and cultural moments at scale-as well as a robust influencer marketing business.
The company was founded in 2010 by CEO, Ryan Harwood and is now part of VaynerX, the Gary Vaynerchuk-owned holding company.
We are looking for a Video Producer to help ideate, plan and execute sponsored and editorial video projects on Gallery Media Group platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience as a producer and project manager, who is equally comfortable putting together a production deck, planning the logistics of a shoot, and calling the shots on set. The Video Producer will work with video production, social, sales and editorial teams to help execute video features tailored to social platforms. This role is a full-time, 3 month contract, with potential to convert to a full time, salaried role.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities: - Execute sponsored content programs, including creating production decks for clients, representing GMG on external calls with advertising agencies and clients, developing and executing shotlists that reflect agreed-upon creative, and working with internal and external teams to deliver on client goals on deadline
- Collaborate to produce a wide range of video content, from social-first, asset-driven/motion graphic content to in-depth, talent-driven features
- Manage physical production of both sponsored and social/editorial content
- Guide video through ideation and production processes, from kickoff to project completion, collating and refining stakeholder notes at each step
- Lead and participate in targeted content brainstorms with key stakeholders
- Work with staff to craft and edit video scripts that tell stories and engage fans
- Keep track of trends in the digital landscape and suggest ways we can implement in our own content spaces
Key Responsibilities: - Produce videos tailored to various platforms that are fun and engaging for viewers but also deliver on internal and/or external KPIs
- Communicate across a variety of teams to ensure all deadlines are hit and deliverables meet/exceed expectations
- Work with key stakeholders to continue developing and refining video workflow and processes
Qualifications: - At least 5 years experience producing video content at a consumer-facing web publication, preferably in the lifestyle/entertainment fields
- Experience creating sponsored or branded content for advertisers, for clients, or in-house
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize against goals and simultaneously juggle multiple projects
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of video production equipment and vendors
- Hiring of freelance crew
- Experience concepting pieces with social engagement and sharing in mind
- Experience with writing scrips and ad reads
- An instinct for telling stories in the digital space, including experience writing for video
- Experience conducting interviews in various settings (live, junket, on location)
- Experience directing talent and managing crews
- Travel and weekend work expected
You might also have: - Experience video editing with Adobe Premiere or similar software
- Experience using budgeting software such as hot budget, showbiz
Location: New York
Base Pay: $1,700 a week
