In the role of Traffic Engineer, we'll count on you to: Perform complex traffic engineering projects, exercise sound engineering judgment, preparation of traffic signal design plans, Illumination and ITS PS&E packages. Function as technical specialist or assist the project manager on projects, but project management is not sole focus of this position. Supervise small staff of professionals and EIT’s as needed. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications A minimum of 3 years' experience with traffic analysis and traffic engineering/design. Texas PE or ability to obtain. Required Qualifications Experience with traffic analysis and traffic engineering/design. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Detailed hands-on experience conducting traffic design using CAD platforms including MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Guide Sign software. Detailed hands-on experience conducting operational analysis using a variety of analysis and modeling tools specific to support job duties, including HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, and Aimsun. Detailed hands-on experience conducting safety analysis using a variety of safety software tools including Highway Safety Software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word.
