Position Xalient are pleased to provide an opportunity for an experienced security professional to join our security team and enable our customers to secure their digital transformation journey and commence the adoption of a zero-trust security model. The candidate should have a solid foundation on security products and services covering areas such as cloud security, user identity, endpoint security, firewalls, VPNs and NAC. In addition to these foundational services, successful candidates will also have extensive experience in the design and deployment of secure web gateway, secure internet gateways and zero-trust network access solutions from one or more of these leading vendors, Zscaler, Palo Alto, Bluecoat/Symantec, NetSkope, and Checkpoint. Any experience with security Cloud platforms and workloads would be advantageous, either through the security services of the Cloud Service Providers or other vendors’ solutions to secure multi-cloud environments. The successful candidate should have a good understanding of common security and compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIST, and PCI and demonstrate the ability to map the Xalient security portfolio to this framework and the customer outcomes they provide. Responsibilities: Responsible for achieving success by implementing and delivering high quality, supportable, technical project solutions that delight our customers. Maintain close, sensitive and long-term working relationships with key customers, acting as a trusted advisor. Technical design, build, testing and transitioning into live service of networking, security and managed service solutions. This includes controlling the utilization and configuration of solution hardware, licenses, professional services budgets and services. Provide 'technical authority' for Xalient pre-sales proposals by providing content in high level designs to presales colleagues. Peer review designs from other peers and colleagues with critical/positive appraisal. Technical business consultancy services and engagement, acting in a vendor agnostic manner, assessing and analyzing client business needs, and helping define solutions to problems and presenting a clear roadmap for the transformation journey. Producing high quality documentation with a high level of accuracy. Build strong relationships with vendor commercial and technical contacts. Requirements Skills and experience Five or more years working in IT security and building foundational skills around at least two security technology areas, including network security (firewalls, VPNs, NAC), identity (AAA, IDAM, PAM), endpoint security. Two or more years working with Secure Web/Internet Gateway solutions – Experience in design, deployment and supporting Secure Web and Internet Gateways with Zscaler being the preferred vendor, but knowledge of competitive solutions would be considered. Two or more years working with Zero Trust Network Access solutions – Experience in the design, deployment and support of Zero Trust Network Access solutions with the Zscaler Private Access product being preferred, although transferable knowledge from competitive solutions would be considered. Experience gained across multiple customer environments is preferred and would be considered equivalent to multiple years of experience. Flexibility on hours of work (within reason) to service global client needs. Advantageous One or more years experience with Endpoint Detection and Response solutions – Experience in the design, deployment and support of endpoint detection and response solutions in particular the Crowdstrike Falcon solution. Micro-segmentation – Experience of implementing a micro-segmentation solution, with agent-based solutions being preferred over network infrastructure approaches.
