Senior Accountant - Immediate Direct-Hire Opportunity!

If you have strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with internal/external staff, this could be a great opportunity for you! We are in search of a team member with exceptional accounting abilities who will be responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and human resource management. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, audit and tax preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance, required
• 5+ years of experience required
• Exceptional computer skills with proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks 
• Strong planning and organization skills; dependable and punctual
• Must have a full understanding of the full life-cycle of accounting from the opening of a financial period to close
• 5+ years of verifiable evolving experience in payroll, accounts receivable/payable, account reconciliation, benefits, and report filing
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be proactive and self-motivated
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Prepare financial statements
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including payroll tax deposits and reporting requirements.
• Maintain communication of personnel changes to benefit plan administrators and manage communication with employees regarding benefit eligibility, changes in coverage, initial and annual enrollment, etc.
• Monitors and analyzes accounting work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Performing monthly balance sheet income statement and changes in financial position/financial variances
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
• Must possess excellent analytical skills.
• Must possess ability to negotiate with internal and external constituents.
• Must possess ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
