Carolina Delivery & Logistics is an established Charlotte based courier company with satellite operations throughout the Carolinas. We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join our team.
The Dispatcher position is extremely important to the overall successes of the operation. Our dispatch team is responsible for all real time decision making, incoming order flow, routing, dispatching and communication with the driver fleet and customers. This is a hands-on position, so the ideal candidate should have experience in various areas of the courier industry such as driver, customer service and dispatching. Positive attitude, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail are a must.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Service is paramount – maintaining our high standard of service.
· Process incoming orders through various platforms
· Organize and distribute jobs to drivers both on demand and routed.
· Communicate directly with customers, drivers, and agents.
· Organize driver schedules and upcoming job requests.
· Work with management and other team members on various projects.
· Daily & weekly customer reporting, KPIs and quality control.
An experienced and effective dispatcher can absolutely advance into supervisor and management positions.
We are a 24/7 service company. Most of your shift will be defined hours Monday – Friday. 100% of our team does work occasional weekend shifts and remote on-call night shifts. The ideal candidate may already be familiar with the unorthodox hours that come with the 24-7 courier industry.
