What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for a motivated Summer Intern to join our Human Resources team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization. This internship runs full-time from May 12, 2025 , to August 15, 2025 .

What you will be doing:
  • Project Work : The HR intern will gain exposure to various HR functions, including Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Global Mobility, and HRIS. While the intern may contribute to short-term projects across these areas, their primary focus will be on supporting Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition. They will play an active role in shaping, proposing, and implementing training sessions.
  • Success Metrics: Successful implementation of a culture and well-being initiative.
  • Collaboration: The HR intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with HR team members across the US and Mexico. Additionally, they will engage in networking with fellow interns, cross-functional team members, organizational leaders, and potentially external service providers

What you will bring to the table:
  • Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period.
  • Relevant Background: Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related degree
  • Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Commitment : Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 12, 2025, and August 15, 2025
  • Technical Skills : Completed coursework in the HR field; Proficiency using MS PowerPoint to create engaging presentations as well as using MS Excel to create and manipulate data using sort/filter, v-look up and pivot table creation functions
  • Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities. Professionalism and confidentiality critical
