HN Technical Operations Engineer I - Honda Center Operations who's excited by innovative technology and secure in their technical methodology. If that's you, keep reading for details. We might have the perfect position for you! We are looking for an experienced engineer that will support a Cox Business property (Honda Center) in the state of California. You'll design and test network architectures. You'll test and validate code functionality. In short? You'll be surrounded by the type of work you love. Other responsibilities include: - Assessing and defining testing strategy and test cases.
- Assisting in equipment evaluations, equipment selection, pilot testing and network designs to ensure reliability and scaled expansion of the network.
- Assisting in preparing engineering cost analysis.
- Supporting deployments of new services, systems, applications and architectures with installation, configuration, integration, evaluation, testing, documentation and training.
- Resolving outage and trouble conditions on network platforms.
- Providing technical operations support and consultation to field technical operations teams.
- Providing telecommunication solutions.
- Conducting equipment evaluations, equipment selection, pilot testing and network designs.
- Providing detailed engineering support and consultation to other departments.
- Developing network element technical specifications.
- Supporting new product deployments with installation, integration, testing, documentation and training.
- Configuring router and switch technologies.
- Establishing network performance measurements and goals.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure the network is available and configured to exceed market demands.
- Developing methods and procedures for equipment migration.
- Providing Technician-Based Support Onsite to support customers when needed.
- Due to the nature of this role, the candidate must be extremely flexible regarding their work schedule; must be able and willing to work weekends, nights, holidays, on-call etc. The schedule may change week to week as the business need dictates.
Qualifications Minimum: - Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree). The right candidate could also have 4 years' experience in a related field in lieu of a degree (i.e., Engineering, Technical or Facility Operations, etc.)
- Experience solving complex technical and engineering problems requiring the rapid acquisition and application technical industry information and skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, TEAMS and Visio
- Experience utilizing Working knowledge of various manufacturers' telecommunications equipment
Preferred: - Certifications: Network+, RCDD, CCNA, CCNP
- Experience with documentation (e.g., GR-1275)
- Experience in telecommunications industry desired
- Operational knowledge of the following areas but not limited to signal loss budgeting, layer one infrastructure, fiber technologies, Telcordia standards, DC power and distribution and the ability to implement them and maintain compliance
- Experience with Extreme Networking Equipment and Networks
USD 77,000.00 - 115,700.00 per year
Compensation: Compensation includes a base salary of $77,000.00 - $115,700.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
