Grocery Store Apprentice Meat Wrapper

Position Summary:

Location: Bremerton, WA

Employment Duration Full time

Pay Range: $16.53 to $25.15 (Depending on Experience)

Hours Per Week Up to 40

Description

Super Saver Foods is seeking a grocery store apprentice meat wrapper. We are a eight store grocery store chain who is looking for a hard-working candidate with a great personality. Our meat wrappers are tasked with a diverse array of job tasks that require them to multi-task and work with a very high sense of urgency. Our meat wrappers work with a wide variety of meats and asked to identify different cuts of meat by look alone. As an apprentice meat wrapper you would be working with an experienced meat wrapper learning the duties and skills required to be an experienced grocery store meat wrapper

Duties:

· Identifying and wrapping different varieties of meats and seafood

· Check-in and verify meat supplier deliveries

· Maintaining, rotating and filling meat department items in the fresh meat case

·Pulling meat counter in the morning for reworks

· Stock and rotate prepackaged deli meat items and frozen food items that fall under the meat department

· Assist customers in locating items and provide them with product information

· Off stack and rotate meat department loads

· Provide excellent customer service

 

Qualifications

· Must be 18 years of age.

· By start date, will need a valid Washington State food handler’s card.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Work in an environment that includes cold temperatures and wet conditions.

· Able to multi task efficiently and be task oriented at all times.

· Work well independently and also with a team.

· Physical stamina.

o Standing and/or moving for long periods of time.

· Able to work with automatic and manual wrapping machines

· Available to work mornings, days and evenings, seven days a week.
