Job Description

Overview: RAI Technologies is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to join our team. Under general supervision, the GIS Analyst will perform accurate data entry of vector and attribute data into the GIS database. Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro is required, along with a solid understanding of GIS principles. The candidate will support various GIS projects, including managing a master address database, digitizing data, and performing data entry, quality control processes, and spatial operations. The ideal candidate should exercise independent judgment to evaluate and develop GIS products in response to both internal and external requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain spatial and attribute data in GIS databases.
  • Support GIS projects, particularly focusing on the master address database through data digitization, entry, and quality control.
  • Create and update maps and spatial analysis products as needed.
  • Conduct research, perform analysis, and develop specialized GIS datasets.
  • Develop GIS products such as maps, datasets, and web-based applications using ArcGIS Online.
  • Provide technical support and present findings to non-technical users as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field with at least 1 year of full-time GIS experience.
  • Proficient in ArcGIS Pro, including editing tools and spatial analysis.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Online, developing web mapping applications, and spatial analysis tools.
  • Strong attention to detail in data management and map creation.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze spatial data for decision-making.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases, computer systems, and data management principles.
  • Ability to document processes and communicate findings clearly.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a multi-user editing environment with workflows.
  • Knowledge of spatial databases, data modeling, and database management.
  • Familiarity with Python for GIS analysis and automation.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Online tools such as dashboards, story maps, and interactive web maps.
