We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Gate Operator Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated gate systems. Experience in the field is a plus, but not required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in gate automation technology and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge security systems.

• Work is in commercial, residential and construction settings.
• Work is outside almost every day, all year.
• Work involves limited heavy lifting, 50 + pounds.
• Work day is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with some unscheduled overtime and some overnight travel.
• It is not necessary to live in the Raleigh area.
• We will TRAIN the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation of gate operators, control panels, access control systems, and safety devices.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on gate automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues with gate systems under the supervision of senior technicians.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including maintenance logs and repair reports.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during installations and repairs.
• Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies in gate automation.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Experience working on gate operators is desired but not a must.
• Experience with electrical/HVAC work and/or machinery is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments year-round.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.

About us:

Secure Access Services is a locally owned company located in Raleigh, NC that specializes in the installation and service of gate operators and access control equipment. We don’t install gates or fence, we make gates move. We cover most of North Carolina and parts of Virginia and South Carolina. We have technicians who work from home who live in these locations. We are experiencing growth and need additional technicians.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
