Upwork has partnered with a global data engineering company delivering AI to many of the world's most prestigious companies. They provide AI-enabled software platforms and managed services for AI data collection/annotation, AI digital transformation, and industry-specific business processes.

They are currently seeking native German speakers , who are also fluent in English to shape a high-quality, user-centric AI knowledge model.

Job Description

• Create high-quality datasets to train AI models, focusing on improving accuracy, fluency, coherence, and voice.
• Annotate data to align AI models with human values, ensuring ethical considerations are integrated into the learning process.
• Analyze and enhance grammar, syntax, and sentence structure in both human-generated data and AI-generated text to maintain linguistic integrity.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, researchers, and software engineers to refine AI models through iterative processes.
• Contribute to the development of specifications for AI model training and data recipes, ensuring they evolve in line with project goals.
• Adapt to dynamic environments, adjusting to changing guidelines and priorities while maintaining high-quality work standards.
• Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) such as daily job count and average handle time per job to drive productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated excellence in German writing skills, with a deep understanding of German grammar, syntax, and semantics.
• Native or fluent English proficiency at C1 level or above .
• Bachelor's degree is required, with preference for a Master's or PhD in subjects such as linguistics, literature, communication, fine arts, copy editing, writing , or related fields, with a focus on German language.
• While related work experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Applicants with experience in linguistics, copy editing, proofreading, writing, or similar fields are encouraged to highlight relevant history in their cover letter.
• Demonstrated ability to think creatively, pay meticulous attention to detail, and possess strong internet research skills.
• Candidates must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States, such as US citizenship or appropriate documentation.
