Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule Monday-Friday 12pm -8:30 pm

Pay rate $20.00hr-$23.00hr

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transportation for freight deliveries, ensuring optimal routing and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes.
• Utilize phone systems and GPS technology to monitor vehicle locations and track shipments in real-time.
• Input and manage data within the systems to maintain accurate records of shipments
• Address any issues or delays that may arise during transportation, providing solutions promptly.
• Maintain a high level of phone etiquette while interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.

Skills

• Proficient in transportation planning with a strong understanding of freight logistics.
• Familiarity with Oracle Transportation Management software is preferred.
• Excellent phone etiquette with strong verbal communication skills.
• Experience using GPS technology for tracking vehicles and shipments.
• Ability to type efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
