Job Summary

We are seeking a professional & friendly candidate to join our team as Delivery Driver & Package Handler. In this role, you will drive a cargo van or 16FT Truck to deliver packages and carts of merchandise to Port of Miami or Port Everglades. This role is part of a team that visits cruise ships to distribute packages and sell items to the crew. The ideal candidate is friendly and has experience driving trucks and makes safety a number one priority. 

Responsibilities 

• Load & offload carts of merchandise & bags of packages in to/from delivery vehicles
• Coordinate K-9 inspections & loading/offloading on to/from the ship (on the dock)
• Screen Packages at X-ray machines in the presence of port & ship's security teams
• Distribute packages to crew members in a friendly & efficient manner (onboard the ships)
• Log out packages & collect payments when applicable as per set procedures
• Drive safely at all times
• Comply with all company policies, port rules & regulations and driving laws 
• Always maintain excellent relationship with port & ship employees

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Box Truck or Cargo Van Driver
• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
• Ability to work with a team, under pressure and in changing environmental conditions
• Must be available to work weekends
• Understanding driving laws and regulations
• Attention to detail
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• TWIC card holders are an asset.
