OCLH Campus Pastor

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are excited to invite a passionate leader to serve as Campus Pastor in Liberty Hill, a rapidly growing community in the Austin region with a vibrant future. Strategically located in downtown Liberty Hill, this small chapel (175 seats) hosts two full services each Sunday. We are looking for someone who will not only speak to the congregation but also lead a dedicated team, and partner closely with our Lead Pastor and the other Campus Pastors to continue to build a thriving church community.

One Chapel Liberty Hill was founded in 2019 and has become a multigenerational church family that places a high value on relationships and creating community. The Campus Pastor will play a key role in shaping the spiritual direction of the Liberty Hill community, embodying One Chapel's mission to foster unity and belonging, as Jesus prayed in John 17:20-21, "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you." This is the namesake Scripture of One Chapel.

The Campus Pastor role offers a unique opportunity to cultivate a spiritual family where lives are transformed, and people are changed in God’s presence, as reflected in Psalm 68:5-6: "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing."

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead inspiring worship services. 
• Foster spiritual growth among staff, volunteers, and the community.
• Champion One Chapel's culture within the local campus.
• Steward campus resources wisely.
• Identify community needs and mobilize the church family to serve.
• Articulate One Chapel's vision locally, encouraging spiritual growth and numerical growth. 
• Cultivate an environment of sacrificial worship. 
• Work closely with the Lead Pastor 
• Work alongside a current campus staff of 10 (both paid and volunteer) to serve the needs of ongoing ministries, including: Youth, Kids, Worship, Prayer, Missions, Small Groups, Serve Teams, and a Counseling Ministry.

• Excels in collaborative ministry. (1 Corinthians 12:12)
• Demonstrates creative problem-solving and adaptation to serve the community's evolving needs. (Jeremiah 29:7)

EXPERIENCE

• Substantial ministry experience, showing consistent growth in shepherding God's people. 
• Proven ability to foster a sense of belonging within a diverse church family. 
• Multi-campus ministry experience preferred, with an aptitude for maintaining unity across locations.
• Track record of successful community engagement, demonstrating a heart for local mission.
• History of maintaining high personal and professional standards. 
• Bachelor's degree preferred, with a commitment to ongoing learning and equipping others.

ABOUT US

One Chapel began as a church plant in 2010 with a small group of people in a movie theater in Southwest Austin. Their dream was, and is, to help people encounter God’s presence, experience meaningful, spirit-led relationships, and engage in the mission of Jesus. One Chapel has met in theaters, commercial office buildings, schools, and now actual churches, but is still committed to retaining its original renegade personality.

In 2015, One Chapel became a family of neighborhood churches in the Austin region, with campuses now in Austin, Lake Travis, and Liberty Hill. Our vision is to help people move forward in their spiritual journey to fulfill God's purpose in their personal lives, in our church, and in their community. 

We believe this transformation happens through WORSHIPING together regularly, BELONGING to the community, SERVING others humbly, GIVING our resources generously, and GROWING practically in the ways of Jesus.
