Oversee the delivery of Community Based Mobile Crisis Intervention Services (CBMCIS) and services to those individuals identified as our forensic population. Your job also involves . . . Assuring services are delivered in accordance with OARs and helping to create policies and procedures for this new service, while assuring that the reporting requirements are met. Providing direct service and working with the program manager in the oversight of the crisis resolution/crisis assessment center. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities Program Development: Establish and write program policies and workflows, working closely with Program Manager. Assure program staff meet and maintain required training. Regularly connect with system partners to identify any program improvement or changes. Complete required program reports for local, regional, and state stakeholders. Coordinate service delivery with the Crisis Response and Forensic Teams: Supervise the performance of all staff completing the assessments of individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Perform assessments of individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Provide services in the community and locations that are convenient to the individual and or their family. Supervise staff and perform the assessments for individuals identified as Aid and Assist, PSRB and referred for pre commitment investigations. Prepare and oversee necessary records, reports, clinical evaluations, and correspondence to document work. Lead regularly scheduled weekly team/staff meetings for administrative, clinical, and educational purposes to assure that client service needs are met. Complete performance evaluations of Crisis Team Staff. Community Education Activities Based on identified needs and community requests: Provide crisis counseling and critical incident stress debriefing to disaster victims and first responders. Participate in Crisis Intervention Trainings (CIT) in the county. Provide prevention and education activities in the county. Other functions: Interact and convene with community partners and resources as necessary to assure population needs are being met. Attend and participate in team meetings, trainings, and activities to further the health of the community. Participate in on-going quality improvement and reports from data systems to guide and improve practice, Uses reflective supervision to evaluate and improve practice and takes part in self-care activities. Other duties as assigned. Typical Qualifications Minimum Education Level Masters Specifics: M aster's degree in psychology, sociology, counseling, or related field Minimum Experience Level Two- Three years Specifics: Experience in mental health crisis or emergency services. Substitution Note: Any satisfactory combination education, experience and training that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the work as determined by the County. Certifications Other Specifics: Must be certified as a pre commitment investigator or attain certification within six months of hire. Must be able to obtain QMHP certification within thirty days of hire. Driver’s License Oregon Driver's License required Specifics: Must obtain within 30 days of hire. Other Licenses Other License required Specifics: C urrent mental health licensure in Oregon (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) is required. The employee is required to maintain current and active licensures and certifications, as applicable, and to provide the appropriate verifications at the time of renewals. Desirable Qualifications: Bilingual and/or bicultural competencies for the Latino population are desirable. Skill or ability to: Perform general mental health crisis assessment and apply knowledge of needs and resources for crisis stabilization; deal professionally with persons (all ages) who have mental and emotional disturbances, mental disabilities or alcohol and drug abuse problems. Advanced level skills in psychotherapy and counseling techniques and ability to apply these skills to treatment of individuals with severe mental health conditions. Develop therapeutic relationships with clients and their families. Write clear and concise reports and client evaluations; comprehend and interpret laws, rules, and regulations. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and professionals in related disciplines. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement, acute care services provider, State liaisons. Provide leadership in a manner that creates a culture supportive of staff and high-quality services. Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. Convey information, ideas, and facts both orally and in writing to supervisors, colleagues, and individuals, inside and outside the county, using language and a format the audience will best understand. Utilize computers and other technology to communicate in written and verbal forms (e.g., word processing, texts, emails, spreadsheets, department-specific software). Effectively relate well with others, including supervisors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the county. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and working to maintain constructive working relationships. Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work. Show up to work on time, and follows instructions, policies, and procedures. Meet productivity standards, deadlines, and work schedules. Job Conditions and Physical Demands WORKING CONDITIONS Job Conditions: Normal working hours, however, additional hours may be required to meet other assigned duties. Position involves exposure to people with a wide variety of mental health problems and may involve exposure to potentially dangerous situations. Working hours will occasionally include after hours, weekends, and holidays. Work Location: Lincoln County Travel: Travel throughout the county.
