Grace Community is a healthy, dynamic church that is growing strong in Lake Villa, IL, a thriving community located 45 minutes away from both Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL. Were a highly relational church that is passionate about being a community of grace bringing grace to the community. Our mission isto glorify God by making mature disciples of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are currently looking for a paid, full-time Worship Director who would:

• First and foremost, lead by example and model that before others a passionate lead worshipper who delights in the Lord and enters His presence with bold confidence and humility.
• Be filled with the Spirit of God and grounded in the Word of God worshipper in spirit and truth.
• Be a gifted & anointed worship leader who draws people into worship and a gifted musician vocally and instrumentally (guitar and/or keys preferred).
• Have a clear calling to ministry
• Be a hardworking, servant-leader who is committed to excellence personally and in others overseeing and developing the vocal & instrumental teams, recruiting new people to the ministry and shepherding the faithful ones.
• Love cutting edge, contemporary worship music and yet have an appreciation for traditional hymns and their usage in services from time to time.
• Enjoy working with our Lead Pastor and Worship Ministry Leadership Team to plan and create weekly services and special services (e.g. Easter and Good Friday, Christmas, and Ministry Year Kick-off celebrations) that incorporate a variety of creative elements to foster and enhance worship.
• Lead worship regularly on Sunday mornings and weekly mid-week rehearsals
• Be committed to Grace Community its mission, values & people

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Servant-leader who loves Jesus and people
• Loving marriage (if applicable) and family relationships
• Driven, self-starter seeking to help build the church and grow the ministry
• Previous experience leading worship & volunteer teams
• Proven track record of recruiting and developing volunteers
• A.V.L. and Production experience
• Associates Degree or greater
