JOB SUMMARY:

Jamie Rea Teachings LTD. is a virtual online business specializing in spiritual transformation and personal growth. The company is centred around helping its clients and students through deep forms of spiritual transformation through a variety of methods such as 1-1 work, group work, and online courses and programs.

The company is seeking a part-time freelance YouTube Video editor who can work closely with the YouTube channel that has now become a strong focus for the brand.

The main work of the YouTube Video Editor will be to take raw footage from hour-long YouTube Lives and create 60-90 second social media reels that can be shared on platforms YouTube Stories, Instagram & Facebook. The reels will be inspirational, cinematic, and compelling, taking voice and video from the lives and creating a compelling piece of content, that will both promote content on the YouTube Channel, and also serve as a stand-alone piece of content to be shared on social media.

Other work of the video editor will be involved in editing raw video footage of Podcast episodes that will be uploaded to YouTube, and require creating small snippets from the podcast episode that can both be shared on YouTube Stories, Instagram, and Facebook.

Finally, the role of the YouTube Video Editor will involve SOME in-person shooting live in Vancouver, BC, Canada, creating cinematic content and other forms of video content that will be created for both YouTube and social media.

The role will be part in-person, and part virtual, but mostly able to complete the work entirely remotely.

• Edit raw video footage into polished final products that align with project objectives.
• Collaborate with directors and producers to understand project goals and desired outcomes.
• Incorporate graphics, sound effects, music, and other elements to enhance video quality.
• Review and revise edits based on feedback from team members and stakeholders.
• Maintain organized files and archives of all video projects for easy access.
• Stay updated on industry trends and editing techniques to continually improve skills.
• Ensure that all content adheres to brand guidelines and quality standards.
• Edit video podcasts to go live on YouTube
• Edit small snippets of Podcast episodes that can create shorter form video content for YouTube Stories, Instagram, & Facebook
• Go through YouTube archive of YouTube Live Content & create short 60-90 second video reels involving animation and/or cinematic footage that can be shared through YouTube Stories, Instagram & Facebook
• Some In-Person Live Shoots in Vancouver, BC, Canada catered around creating short-film, short-film cinematic content for both YouTube & Social Media

Skills

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
• Strong understanding of video production processes and techniques.
• Ability to tell compelling stories through visual media.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
• Familiarity with motion graphics and animation.
• Strong Intuitive and Creative Prowess that will allow you to work independently, making your own intuitive and creative decisions in the video production process that align with the brand's vision and tone.
• Extremely proficient technical skills when it comes to the video production and video editing processes.
• MUST own your own cinematic camera and some of your own gear as well.
• Strong knowledge to help work with company founders to provide insights and execution on how to improve the overall Video + Audio Production Quality of video content to help create visually appealing, cinematic-style content to help set the company brand apart.
