About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Collections and Horticulture to lead the strategic development and execution of plans for collections, horticulture, and natural areas. This senior leadership role is pivotal in the integration of science and conservation within the organization's mission. The successful candidate will be a key subject matter expert, providing visionary leadership and fostering a strong, innovative culture within the department and the broader organization. The role requires a minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of management experience, with a preference for those who have worked in similar botanical or research-focused environments. The Vice President will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing strategies that align with the company's goals, and will work closely with the Board of Trustees and the President and CEO to ensure the continued success and growth of the organization. Applicants for the Vice President of Collections and Horticulture position at the company should possess a deep understanding of and appreciation for the development and management of museum collections.
