Town & Country Animal Clinic in Granbury, TX is looking for veterinary assistants/technicians to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a problem solver, motivated, engaged, and able to work flexible hours and weekends. Previous experience as a veterinary technician/assistant required.

Position Summary:

As a Veterinary Assistant/Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinarian and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. You’ll work closely with our team to provide exceptional animal care, assist with procedures, and maintain a clean and organized environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist our veterinarian during examinations, surgeries, and treatments
• Handle and restrain cats and dogs
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments
• Administer medications and vaccinations and perform blood draws
• Perform laboratory tests (bloodwork, urinalysis, etc.)
• Maintain accurate records and update patient files
• Provide compassionate support to pet owners
• Keep treatment areas and equipment clean and sanitized
• Take care of boarded animals on weekends (rotating shifts).

Qualifications:

• Experience as a veterinary assistant or technician
• Strong communication skills and empathy for animals
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Comfortable handling animals of various sizes and temperaments
• Open availability including weekends
