Way Engineering is one of the nation’s largest and most experienced mechanical contractors, specializing in commercial air conditioning, plumbing, piping, and the ongoing maintenance of these systems. We lead the industry in design-build/design-assist, pre-construction, commissioning, building information modeling (BIM), and quality control.

We are currently seeking a Union HVAC Journeyman Technician to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment
• Accurately diagnose HVAC system performance through observation, testing, and setup
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and service/installation manuals
• Document service work using company-provided software on an iPad
• Communicate effectively with customers and office personnel to ensure satisfaction
• Manage assigned tasks independently, including time management and necessary follow-ups
• Adhere strictly to company safety protocols

Qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC
• Proven ability to follow project scopes and work independently
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
• EPA Certification required
• Skilled in using gauges, meters, measuring instruments, and hand/power tools
• Ability to clearly explain services performed to both management and customers
• This role requires driving during work hours—candidates will undergo a driving record check
