Shift:

Days, 40 Hours

Work Experience:

• Plans and conducts segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions, while meeting department objectives.


• Serves as co-leader in interdisciplinary approach to patient groups.


• This department provides evaluation and treatment for both inpatients and outpatients with neurological, muscular, and skeletal trauma or dysfunction.


• It includes the treatment of disorders with physical agents and methods, such as massage, manipulation, therapeutic exercises, cold, heat, hydrotherapy, electrical stimulation, and light to assist in habilitating or rehabilitating patients and in restoring function after an illness or injury.


• If your department operates as inpatient only, please notify FP&A. You can still use this department but we will map it to the inpatient-only benchmark.

Education:

• Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor?s): Required


• Master's Degree: Preferred


• Doctorate Degree: Preferred


• Two years' Physical Therapy experience: Preferred

License:

• Physical Therapy licensure in state of practice: Required


• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required


• Physical Therapist (PT): Required

Certifications:

BLS/CPR Certification.
