Traveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience ***Strong Neuro experience, MUST BE 2 YEARS, NO LESS******STROKE Patients is one of their largest patient populations***Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIH PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Skills: Arterial line management JOB DETAILS: RATIOS: Ratios 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Average Daily Census 11-12SHIFT: *36 Hours Can Be Offered Unit Will Accept 13 Weeks!12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15Call Requirement: NONE Float Requirement: YES Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND PATIENT DIAGNOSES: We are a comprehensive stroke center. Patient population: strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used: EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring)SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Comprehensive Stroke Center SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun.
