Job Title: Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Facility: Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville, VA Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Overview: Danville Regional Medical Center is seeking a Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join the laboratory team. The ideal candidate will perform routine and specialized laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis and treatment, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic laboratory procedures including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and urinalysis.
• Collect, process, and analyze specimens with precision and efficiency.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and quality control.
• Document and report test results accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent required.
• Current certification as MLT (ASCP or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2+ years of recent laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
