Job Description

Responsible for explaining all pricing and promotions to guests in a courteous, friendly manner, and displaying a high standard of customer services. Also responsible for handling large sums of money and high volumes of guests.

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Welcomes customers to the park in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Follow all rules, regulations, policies and procedures for the property area and assist in protecting and safeguarding all property assets.
  • Perform the day-to-day operations of the assigned admissions outlets.
  • Monitor admissions entrances for acceptable/not acceptable clothing and or other objects/items prohibited
  • Operates the cash register, to accept payment for admission sales, in the form of cash, credit, and complimentaries, making correct change as required and balancing cash register, at closing or end of shift.
  • Held to a high standard for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of facilities/outlets and special and upcoming events on property, in order to advise customers of same, whenever possible.
  • Communicates important, relevant information to following shift.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

AGE and GAMING:

15 years of age or above. Non - Gaming property.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED is preferred. Previous money handling experience is preferred.

TESTING:

Must score at least 84.5% or better on a Basic Math test. Must take the required testing identified for this position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Essential responsibilities include physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least thirty (30) pounds, and standing/walking 90% of the shift. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

This position is required to work in outside weather conditions and may perform responsibilities and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces as well as exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and extreme weather/heat.
