Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant within the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

The primary purpose of the Temporary Research Assistant is to work under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The Temporary Research Assistant will work on research investigating the psychosocial aspects of pediatric, adolescent, and young adult cancer survivorship. This position conducts intervention, manages data, and performs other research tasks under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, as well as drafts written reports for inclusion in manuscripts and grant proposals.

Among the key duties for this position are the following:

• Works under direction of the Principal Investigator.
• Assists in date collection and data management.
• Possesses effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to publish scientific research papers and articles.
• Acts as a role model for corporate integrity, customer service and improved quality.
• Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Lifting up to 25 lbs.
• WORK ENVIRONMENT : Office environment. Moderate noise.
