Description:

Emergent Global Solutions (EGS) seeks temporary Emergency Management 1099 personnel to grow a standby comprehensive disaster response and recovery team. Personnel may be deployed for extended periods of time and must have the flexibility to deploy on short notice to the assigned location.

Requisite experience includes a minimum of two years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

• FEMA Public Assistance Advisory Services
• FEMA Individual Assistance Advisory Services
• FEMA 404 and 406 Hazard Mitigation Expertise
• Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery and other HUD Program Support
• Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) / Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Support
• Financial / Grants Management Support and Information Technology
• Resilient Community Planning Program Support
• Long-Term Recovery Operations Implementation
• Emergency Operation Center and Joint Field Office Staffing
• All Hazard Incident Management/ Multi-Agency Coordination
• Disaster Logistics Support/ Base Camp Operations
• Public/Private Sector Coordination/Integration
• Crisis/Disaster Communications
• Disaster Intelligence/GIS/ Data Analytics/Incident planning

Requisite qualifications include:

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Incident Command System/ National Incident Management System (ICS/NIMS) or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license

· Excellent skill and knowledge using various applications including Microsoft Office

· Ability to professionally engage with local, state, and federal entities in a high-pressure environment

· Ability to multi-task and problem-solve utilizing critical thinking and high analytical skills

· Ability to prioritize and meet multiple and competing deadlines

Physical demands of an assigned job and location will vary but may include:

· More than eight-hour shifts

· Sitting or standing for extended periods of time

· Working at a computer for extended periods of time

· Visiting or working in disaster impacted areas
