As the  Tax Prep Supervisor , you will combine your technical tax expertise with your leadership skills to oversee the daily operations of a high-performing tax preparation team. Your primary focus will be ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant tax filings while fostering an engaging and collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor, train, and oversee tax preparers, fostering a positive work environment through coaching, support, and development.
• Manage daily workflows, monitor deadlines, and ensure work meets quality standards and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Lead by example by preparing complex and general tax returns when required, serving as the go-to expert for technical questions.
• Address escalated client service concerns with a solutions-oriented mindset, ensuring an exceptional client experience.
• Create work schedules, monitor employee timekeeping, and ensure resources align with workload demands and deadlines.
• Conduct performance reviews, recognize outstanding contributions, and partner with leadership to address potential performance issues.
• Host daily team meetings to relay essential updates, expectations, and strategies, keeping everyone aligned with office goals.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to identify and implement opportunities that drive office growth, including local partnerships and community initiatives.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a tax preparer, with deep knowledge of tax laws and filing processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing, training, and overseeing team members in a professional environment.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong ability to work independently while balancing team responsibilities.
• A track record of delivering high-quality results under deadlines in a client-focused role.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a solutions-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients and fostering collaboration within your team.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities, especially during peak tax season.
