Overview

Our client, a Top 25 CPA Firm , is actively seeking a Tax Director with deep expertise in Partnership, Equity, and High-Net-Worth (HNW) taxation. This is a hybrid role , offering the opportunity to work with a prestigious firm and collaborate with senior leadership on complex tax matters.

Base pay range : $250,000.00/yr - $400,000.00/yr

Job title : Tax Director Hybrid | Top 25 CPA Firm | Partnership, Equity & HNW Focus

Responsibilities

• Oversee the annual tax information package process for active, retired, and former partners
• Manage the non-resident U.S. partner tax return process in collaboration with external providers
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of partner receivables/payables related to tax refunds or dues
• Prepare and maintain partner tax reserves , including distribution of reserve statements
• Track and resolve IRS and other tax-related notices on behalf of individual partners
• Review monthly journal entries and analyze critical balance sheet accounts
• Prepare and review audit schedules in support of the global firmwide audit
• Build strong relationships with firm leadership including the CFO, Global Controller, and others
• Liaise with external advisors for partner personal tax returns in the U.S. and abroad
• Collaborate with the Tax Compliance Manager and Partnership Accounting Manager on overlapping responsibilities
• Ensure all activities are executed with a strong focus on internal controls and compliance
• Lead operational improvements with a focus on efficiency and client service
• Manage special projects as needed
• Extensive experience in partnership taxation , equity structures , and ULTRA high-net-worth individual tax
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to manage complex tax scenarios
• Proven leadership and relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and service excellence
