We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer to design, develop, and maintain engaging and insightful dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to translate data into meaningful visualizations that support data-driven decision-making and provide actionable insights. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and optimizing Tableau dashboards and reports to meet business requirements; collaborating with stakeholders to gather and understand reporting needs and translate them into effective visualizations; connecting Tableau with various data sources, including databases, cloud services, and spreadsheets; performing data analysis, validation, and cleansing to ensure accurate reporting; optimizing and tuning Tableau workbooks for performance and usability; maintaining and updating existing dashboards to reflect changing business needs; documenting data flows, calculations, and dashboard functionalities; training end-users on utilizing dashboards and interpreting data insights; troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Tableau reports and data discrepancies; and staying updated on Tableau features and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field; 12+ years experience as a Tableau Developer or similar role; strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Online, and Tableau Prep; solid understanding of SQL and experience connecting Tableau to various data sources; knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling; excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy; good communication and teamwork abilities; experience with scripting languages like Python or R; familiarity with other BI tools such as Power BI or Looker; knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or Snowflake; and understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
