Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Tableau Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in BI development with a disciplined approach to data quality assurance. This is a direct hire. No C2C or third party please.

Job Responsibilities:

Business Intelligence (50%)

• Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Integrate and clean data from various sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets) into BI platforms or data warehouses.
• Manage ETL processes and API integrations for reporting and analysis.
• Monitor KPIs to assess business performance and suggest improvements.
• Maintain BI systems for reliability and updates.

Data Quality Assurance (50%)

• Use data QA tools (e.g., Great Expectations, dbt tests, SQL/Python scripts) and work with databases (e.g., SQL), data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery), and BI tools.
• Validate data accuracy through audits, reconciliations, and automated checks.
• Design and execute test plans for data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Identify and resolve data anomalies, collaborating with data engineers and stakeholders.
• Monitor data quality metrics (completeness, consistency, timeliness).
• Document QA processes, findings, and reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulations like HIPAA and GDPR.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in working on business intelligence and data quality projects.
• Proficiency with tools like Tableau (Desktop, Server, Prep), Power BI (Desktop, Cloud, Power Query, DAX), or Qlik, including calculated fields, parameters, LOD expressions, and dashboard actions.
• Experience with data quality assurance, testing ETL processes, and validating datasets.
• Familiarity with data integration, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Basic scripting in Python or R for data prep and QA automation.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Experience with healthcare, public health, or government data systems is preferred.

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work independently with high standards.
