*Senior Posit Administrator*
_12- Month Contract _
_Remote_
Brooksource is seeking a Senior Posit Administrator to play a key role on a SAS Migration initiative for a large Health Care Insurance provider. This role will focus on transitioning legacy SAS- based analytics and reporting environments into a modern, scalable, and open-source ecosystem leveraging R and Python within the Posit Platform. You will be responsible for supporting the design, configuration, and administration of the Posit environment while enabling enterprise-wide adoption of the tool.
*Responsibilities*
* · Lead *configuration, deployment, and maintenance* of the Posit (RStudio) Platform, including Posit Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager.
* · Support the *migration of legacy SAS assets* into the Posit environment using R and Python.
* · Partner with data engineering, analytics, and infrastructure teams to design and implement scalable platform architecture that meets enterprise security, compliance, and performance standards.

* · Support the development of reusable templates, workflows, and libraries for R and Python users.
* · Monitor platform performance, optimize compute utilization, and troubleshoot technical issues.
* · Act as a *technical mentor and subject matter expert,* guiding junior developers, data scientists, and analysts on best practices for R/Python development, package usage, and environment management.
* · Partner with leadership on building the *business case* for continued open-source adoption and platform expansion.
* · Drive documentation, training sessions, and community engagement to foster a self-sufficient analytics culture across the organization
*Requirements: *
* · Extensive experience administering RStudio/Posit environments.
* · Advanced knowledge of R, Python, and related data science package ecosystems.
* · Hands- on experience managing Posit Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager in enterprise environments.
* · Experience with Linux Shell Scripting
* · Strong understanding of SAS to R/Python migration methodologies and open-source modernization strategies.
*Background and Experience*
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field)
* 5+ years’ experience Posit (RStudio) Development or Administration
