We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Career Support Specialist to join our team, providing ongoing vocational and rehabilitative supports to individuals with mental health challenges such as psychosis, depression, and anxiety. You will play a critical role in the Turning Point program, which is designed to prevent functional decline and help individuals find or return to meaningful work and educational opportunities. This position is part-time, and grant-funded with renewal every September. You will work in a collaborative environment with various mental health professionals, offering flexibility in your schedule, including some opportunities for telework.

Whats in it for you?

  • $45 per hour, up to a maximum of $50 per hour.
  • Flexible part-time schedule, between 10 and 25 hours per week.
  • Opportunity to work with a diverse and dynamic team, including peer support specialists, therapists, and case managers.
  • The chance to make a long-term impact on individuals with mental health challenges.
  • A team-oriented environment that values collaboration.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Provide vocational and educational support to individuals with mental health challenges, ensuring their goals are met consistently.
  • Manage compliance and documentation for all supports provided.
  • Travel to various work sites to ensure sustainable job experiences for clients.
  • Use the IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model and the Coordinated Specialty Care framework to support youth and young adults.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote client progress in vocational and educational goals.
  • Complete timely clinical documentation that meets agency, Medicaid, MCO, and licensure standards.
  • Administer data tools at specified data collection points and attend relevant team meetings.
  • Coach individuals in self-advocacy and maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience providing vocational services in a human services environment.
  • Proficient in MS Suite and EHR systems.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges is required.
  • 3 years of experience working with youth and families with complex mental health or substance use challenges.
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable personal transportation.
  • Experience in school-related meetings (IEP, 504) and collaborating with community stakeholders.
  • High school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's or Masters degree in rehabilitation, counseling, social work, nursing, or a related human services field is preferred.

Does this sound like something you want to be part of?

Come join our team and lets shape the future of vocational and educational support for individuals with mental health challenges!
