SPORTS MANAGEMENT EVENTS INTERN

Legarza Sports is seeking summer interns who have excellent organizational and communication skills to provide support to our Regional Managers and their teams.

We are looking for a self-starter with a desire to be a part of a highly effective team, who is willing to go the extra mile in order to ensure success. As we continue to expand, we need a quality person who believes in our values and has the skills to implement, manage, and grow an extraordinary youth sports program.

Over 50% of our interns transition to full time positions!

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :

• On site support to ensure camps run smoothly
• Assist with check-in process, ensuring customers feel welcomed and excited
• Provide site administrative assistance
• Equipment and Inventory management
• Distribute equipment and supplies to various sites
• Distribute, collect, and mail postcards from coaches to campers
• Assist with site moves
• Back end staff management and audits
• Communication support for weekly scheduling
• Maintain office inventory and supplies
• Maintain a clean and organized office place
• Take initiative to analyze and solve problems as they arise
• Foster relationships with participants and staff

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Current college student or recent graduate
• Great organizational skills and an attention to details
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Transportation means and ability to drive to camp locations
• Comfortable driving company truck and van
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Own a laptop
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Proficiency in using Apple Mail, Google Calendar, etc
• Bonus if you are an athlete, but not necessary!

INTERNSHIP DURATION & COMPENSATION:

Our ideal candidate will be available for the entire summer from May to August. The ability to start sooner is not required but would be an added bonus to the position.

20-40 hours per week

$18/hr

We've been around for 34 years and have grown from one basketball camp site to add volleyball camps, all-sports camps, elementary school PE, after-school programs, skills training, leagues and so much more. And that's only the beginning. Our philosophy and approach is what has set us apart from other camps since 1989.

We're a team of inspired, creative and fun professionals with diverse backgrounds. Quality of life is important to us. This is as far from a corporate pressure-cooker as you can imagine, but that doesn't mean we don't take our business seriously. While we have locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, you will be working out of our main office in San Carlos, CA with local travel required.
