Kalkomey is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable
Sr. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist who will drive and grow our internal SEO efforts. In this role, you will own the SEO function within the digital marketing team and bring your expertise to drive strategy, data analysis, and adoption of best practices to meet business goals. We’re looking for a proactive analytics detective, continuous learner, and great collaborator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Develop and execute SEO strategies, keyword research, on-page optimization, link growth strategy, technical analysis, competitive analysis, and reporting.
- Audit and monitor multiple brand websites using a suite of SEO tools and identify opportunities for SEO tasks that would provide the most benefit to our business goals.
- Manage day-to-day campaign activity and deliverables and prioritize opportunities by difficulty, urgency, and impact to a website’s success.
- Write Point of View (POV) documentation to convey information about SEO performance and issues.
- Work with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and improve campaign performance aligned with business goals and initiatives.
- Participate in cross-team working groups as SEO subject matter expert, to provide perspective on critical initiatives and answer questions about your strategic recommendations.
- Educate internal stakeholders on SEO best practices and importance.
- Prepare reports for management, detailing SEO campaign performance with insights and recommendations for future considerations.
- Perform quality assurance on SEO deliverables completed by SEO technicians.
- Drive innovation and implement testing strategies to continually uncover opportunities for optimization, enhance learning, and improve performance.
- Find opportunities to improve the SEO program and processes, and take initiative to make them happen. Be a self-starter, unafraid to challenge the status quo.
Qualifications - 5+ years of experience executing organic search campaigns via SEO
- Experience developing, managing, executing, and measuring SEO campaigns for medium-to-large brands and eCommerce websites
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively convey what’s most relevant and meaningful for various audiences (including leadership, marketing, finance, and product teams)
- Ability to identify and recommend solutions to technical SEO issues including but not limited to page elements, CMS, information architecture, URL structure, and server-related issues.
- Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets expert and expertise with industry-standard tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush or Ahrefs, Screaming Frog Majestic, or similar.
- Ability to manage and prioritize many projects and deadlines concurrently while also managing daily responsibilities
- Excellent knowledge of search engine criteria/algorithm updates (Panda, Penguin, Pigeon, Fred, RankBrain, BERT, etc.)
- Have a firm understanding of how marketing channel strategies work together, including paid search, social media, referral and email marketing
- Exceptional analytics, project management, and organizational skills
- Fundamental understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
