Job Title Software Development Engineering Advisor II
TITLE: Software Development Engineering Advisor II
EMPLOYER: Fiserv Solutions, LLC
LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI (and various unanticipated locations throughout the US subject to authorization from management)
DUTIES: Develop complex applications based on technical and functional specifications for TeleCheck financial software products. Work with business partners and product managers to understand business needs and problem statements; propose constructive software solutions; and lead development teams though SDLC to design, develop, and implement software solutions. Design, model, and maintain highly available, large databases to support high transaction volume in an OLTP environment to meet merchant payment processing needs. Research, define, and complete required additions and changes. Analyze technical specifications for both creation of new applications and enhancing existing applications for compatibility with other systems. Participate in strategic planning sessions and technical discussions including translating ideas into technical designs. Design technical and functional specifications used in the development of TeleCheck software and processing services. Analyze and research client issues to determine and confirm software nonconformities. Log, test, and document Code-in-Folder, Hot Fix, Alert and Service Pack, and other release cycled code corrections to include risk analysis for software nonconformities.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and 7 years in any job title involving software solutions engineering experience. Prior experience must include 7 years in the following: Developing strategies for product-oriented transaction processing software; Driving feature development through the software development lifecycle; Designing and employing repeatable and supportable software patterns, methodologies, and best practices; Supporting products and deployments for use by internal and external customers; Developing server-side Java and C++; and Working with relational and NoSQL database integrations, Platform as a Service (PaaS) deployments, and CI/CD development operations integrations.
