Our vital and growing firm is searching for an experienced Sewer and Drain Technician, who is dependable and professional.
Responsibilities:
Perform in all aspects of sewer and drain work, including but not limited to:
● Operate equipment in a safe manner
● Wear all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
● Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff and co-workers
● Provide solutions to sewer and drain problems.
● Participation in required staff meetings and training
● Complete and submit paperwork daily
● Keep vans clean inside and out
● Report any issues or incidents to supervisor
● Maintain a clean drivers license
● Understand Balkan’s health and safety practices and DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations
● Compliance with All Policies including: Safety, Safety, Safety!
Skills and Qualifications:
● Valid New York State Driver’s License; clean driver’s license and good driving record
● A good working knowledge of septic systems, sewer and drain systems and underground piping
● Plumbing knowledge a plus
● Able to easily navigate the boroughs of NYC
● Able to handle physical workload
● Strong work ethic
● This is a safety sensitive position, a drug and alcohol test will be required
● OSHA SST
