As a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist you will help support and execute SEO strategies for clients across multiple industries, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work, and effectively applying SEO principles. Our clients range from small, single owner companies to huge, multi-million dollar global organizations. This role does not involve direct client interaction, instead focusing on the implementation of plans and meeting project deadlines.

An SEO Specialist should be able to work efficiently and effectively within a fast-paced environment and have a strong attention to detail. Success in this role requires experience working with cross-functional teams and the ability to take ownership of deliverables, working independently to drive results.

What You Get To Do Every Day: 

• Execute the marketing strategy developed by the Strategist, using a variety of on-site and off-site tactics to increase website traffic and our clients’ revenue.
• Conduct research and analysis on clients’ industries and current SEO positions to present recommendations to the Strategist. Work with the Strategist to determine effectiveness of the existing and new strategies. 
• Work with the Strategist to adapt strategies and plans based on results we’re seeing and constantly changing search engine algorithms.
• Perform technical on and off page optimizations including site crawls, schema modification and metadata modifications.
• Optimize onsite content, pages and products for our clients so that they get maximum results.
• Create monthly reporting for clients (OuterBox actions taken, work performed, numbers on traffic and sales, etc.).

What You Bring To The Role: 

• Minimum 1+ years experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• An avid enthusiasm for organic search, search engines, and digital marketing, combined with a strong desire to keep up-to-date with the latest industry developments and news.
• Excellent organizational, communications and interpersonal skills, especially writing skills
• Strong knowledge of various marketing tools to perform keyword research, competitive analysis, and other search marketing activities
• Experience using Google Search Console and Screaming Frog to identify and solve technical SEO challenges
• Experience with e-commerce SEO, specifically stores with 1000+ products in platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, and/or BigCommerce
• Experience in Google Analytics or other analytics tools where you've measured results
• Experience performing SEO audits to identify SEO challenges and opportunities
• Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript and PHP a plus!
• Working knowledge of off-page optimization including natural backlink building
• Proficient with Google Suite, especially Google Sheets (or Excel) with the ability to pivot data and perform VLOOKUPs
• General technical affinity. Maybe you’ve built your own WordPress site or reinstall your operating system, but when you’re faced with a new software you haven’t used before, you’re the kind of person that can figure it out and show everyone else how it works.
