3dB Labs is seeking an experienced senior software engineer who loves to solve challenging web problems in the realm of digital signal processing. The ideal candidate is creative, smart, and able to work effectively on their own or with a small team. Our work provides the opportunity for a unique mix of theory-based algorithm development, implementation of software-based high-performance processing solutions, and integration with high-end RF equipment. Our employees are typically BS/MS holders in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or computer science, but we will consider anyone with demonstrated skills and interest in software development and/or signal processing.
We are adding to our team a Senior Web Developer to work in-office in our West Chester, OH location. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Government clearance.
Responsibilities :
- Design and implement performant and scalable front-end and back-end components using modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Node.js, etc.)
- Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC) including, but not limited to: Designing, Developing, Testing, Documenting, and Maintaining software solutions
- Act as a technical lead for junior engineers, performing duties such as code review, design review, and mentoring
- Working in an Agile-like development environment including sprint planning, grooming, and sprint demos
- Work closely with product managers, technical architects, and other stakeholders to build requirements, clarify technical specifications, and provide development estimates
Experience : Required
- 7+ years of web development experience, including experience with React and Node.js in a professional capacity
- 4+ years of Python experience
- 3+ years of SQL/Database experience
- Experience building high-performance APIs using profobuf
- Development of software for Linux operating systems
- Experience leading other engineers in technical aspects of software development
- Ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret clearance
Desired
- Development with C++, C++17 or newer is preferred
- Experience with UX Design Tools such as Figma or Adobe Xd
- Digital signal processing and signals and systems theory
- Background in software defined radio and digital communication theory
- Proven strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently with freedom to develop your own creative technical solutions to our problems
- Current or past US security clearance is a major plus, ability to obtain a clearance required
