Our UX Research team plays a major role within a diverse, fun, and geographically distributed design team. We have an oversize impact given our team size by driving select research studies and playing a critical role in multiple initiatives related to UXR, customer feedback, and experience measurement.
As a Senior UX Researcher, you'll have the ability to significant impact our experience and product strategy by leveraging your qualitative skills and innate understanding of what "good" research looks like. An ideal candidate for this role enjoys digging in deep to complex spaces, and successfully balances rigor with a scrappy, entrepreneurial mindset.
In this role, you’ll:
Lead (start to finish) prioritized research efforts across a flagship product
Guide teams on best practices when conducting their own research
Refine and mature the UX Research function through refined processes/tooling
Play a key role in revamping how we connect with customers and document research
We’re looking for candidates who have:
A track record of leading UX Research using a variety of methods (including qualitative interviews, surveys, field research, and usability testing) to drive experience/product strategy
Devotion to excellence along every step of the research process alongside the ability to communicate trade-offs when faced with constraints
An inherent interest in shaping emerging UX Research processes and resources
The ability to work in environments where thorough documentation and over communication are critical – especially when collaborating with remote colleagues in different time zones
Passion for asking the right questions and ability to explore all available resources to formulate solutions to complex problems
An entrepreneurial mindset and exceptionally proactive about guiding strategic thinking in a greenfield, innovative product space
Experience broadly socializing UX Research findings, best practices, and a user-centric approach throughout an organization
Demonstrable portfolio or reports of past work that showcase excellent storytelling skills and a breakdown of your research planning, process, and decisions
Nice to have experience:
UX Research experience within a complex domain space (such as Enterprise SAAS, FinTech, or cryptocurrency)
Interest in blockchain technology
Startup environment experience
Experience with research repositories (e.g., Dovetail) and/or developing customer panels
Some experience with mixed-methods UX Research and formal quantitative usability testing (e.g., time on task)
Previous research studies focused on AI solutions and/or user onboarding
Master’s degree or PhD in a related field
