Overview

Senior Manager, Global Rewards KPMG US

KPMG is seeking a Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits to join our Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice. This role focuses on delivering tax and operational support for employee rewards during corporate transactions and ongoing global rewards programs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and manage a team focused on assisting clients through corporate transaction events (e.g., merger and acquisition, divestiture, IPO) from a tax and operational perspective related to employee reward; identify and analyze tax and operational matters affecting tax exposure; draft technical memoranda; map and design post-transaction operational processes and compliance; manage executive and employee communications; support post-transaction integration of compensation, benefits and share-based compensation programs worldwide; perform these responsibilities outside deal contexts as needed.
  • Cultivate and maintain senior-level client relationships; advise on technical, compliance and operational matters with accountability for quality service delivery; drive project management and anticipate client needs.
  • Lead engagement teams on daily service delivery and operations, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of compliance and consulting services.
  • Manage quality, risk, and financial performance of engagements, including team assignments, timely billing, collections and budget.
  • Collaborate with and present to external/internal clients and perform cross-functional business development activities, including participation in firm events.
  • Coach and mentor other tax professionals; responsible for development and motivation of the engagement team.
Qualifications
  • Minimum seven years of recent experience in employer benefit strategies; preferred experience in at least three areas: total rewards and benefits, global compensation and equity, taxation, domestic and global employment tax compliance and consulting, M&A advisory, executive compensation and integration, mobility tax compliance, corporate taxation, ASC 718/740, share-based compensation delivery, data and analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field required. Law degree is a plus.
  • Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM or completion of one of the advanced degrees or professional designations (e.g., MBA, CCP, CEBS, PHR, SPHR, GPHR, etc.) or alternative approved credentials; must obtain at least one approved designation within one year of hire if not already held.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading multiple large, complex, multinational client engagements; ability to prioritize, anticipate client needs, and develop client service opportunities; ability to foster client relationships with technical and operational proficiency.
  • Ability to reimagine and convey innovative ideas in people, process, and technology to meet client needs while remaining flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Excellent advisory, quantitative, analytical and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and deliver high-quality results.
