As a Security Officer - Overnight Healthcare Center in Las Vegas, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. You will also assist with access control, monitor badge usage, and provide helpful information to those navigating the location. Exceptional customer service and clear communication are key, as you will interact daily with a diverse community. Position Type: Full Time - 40 hours (three 12 hour graveyard shifts and one 4 hour shift)

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)

  • Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed

  • Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the healthcare location, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of facility rules and policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to address incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Complete required reports and documentation related to daily activities, incidents, and/or observations.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
