Barbier Security Group (BSG) is a rapidly growing Bay Area based security services company. Founded in 2007 Barbier Security Group has been tasked with providing custom protective security programs for individuals, government organizations and private companies.
We are currently seeking qualifiedSecurity Officers for a Rover position for a Corporate Campus in San Francisco. The Security Officer Roving team is staffed twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The Security Roverteam is directly responsible for the accurate documentation of routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities and maintain control of all equipment and keys in the Control Room. Security Rovers maintain an expert level of knowledge of the campus rules and provide professional interactions that promote safety to, and confidence from, the people that encompass the property.

Skill Set & Responsibilities - Drive security solutions across one or more of the property
- Display good communication and integrity skills
- Exhibit exceptional Guest Service skills with all individuals
- Effectively controls access to the property of authorized persons at vehicle entry points with Ambassador level communication and fluently understands the access levels/restrictions of all campus parking areas
- Demonstrate Safety as a primary focus
- Monitor and log CCTV cameras for unusual and/or suspicious activity
- Utilize specialized training and methodologies, to identify potential indicators of unusual and suspicious conduct
- Completes key service requests and task work orders for all maintenance needs reported
- Maintain situational awareness at all times
- Respond to critical incidents including emergencies, evacuations, company policy violations, and work with law enforcement
- Act as a deterrent to undesirable behaviors and actions
- Perform bag checks and other inspections to verify no unauthorized items enter or leave property
- Understand various service standards of the hospitality industry
- Displays professional uniformed appearance and maintains a work area with the same high regard to maintain the reputation of the property
- Reports to Shift Supervisor
Qualifications and Requirements: - Valid California Guard Card
- Current Ca Drivers License and a dependable vehicle - site is located in a remote setting absent of adequate public transportation access
- Must be able to get guard card and go through GC steps if not licensed
- You must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for this role
- You must have a current California Driver License to be considered for this role
- Demonstrate strong computer proficiency, including typing skills and the ability to navigate through multiple computer systems
- Knowledge of CCTV equipment, access controls, alarm monitoring, and computer databases
- Covid 19 Vaccinated
- Ability to stand and walk for majority of shift on various surfaces (concrete, carpet, etc.)
- Ability to move 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications: - Bilingual preferred
- Previous Security, Law Enforcement, Military or related Public Safety experience
- Previous security responsibilities for a campus facility (either corporate or college setting)
Barbier Security Group operates this site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
