About the Role:
As a Healthcare Specialist - Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in supporting a federal agency by providing personalized, compassionate assistance to the medical community. In this fully remote role, you will respond to inquiries from medical professionals, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities, primarily over the phone. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) where your healthcare knowledge and customer service skills will make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to health-related questions from physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals with empathy and professionalism.
Provide accurate information while following established policies and procedures.
Work independently to manage inquiries efficiently and effectively.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of diseases, illnesses, and general healthcare practices.

We're looking for candidates with a combination of education and experience in healthcare who can bring their expertise to this meaningful work.

Minimum Qualifications:
You should meet one of the following criteria:

Registered Nurse (RN) with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
Associate's degree and/or certifications in a health-related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Skills and Attributes:

Strong understanding of diseases and medical conditions.
Proven experience communicating effectively with medical professionals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proper English grammar and syntax.
Proficiency in word processing and other computer applications.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently without supervision.
