The opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a part-time seasonal Retail Intern to join our team at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. As a Retail Intern, you will support day-to-day retail operations with a focus on warehouse logistics, online order fulfillment, eCommerce product entry, and social media content related to merchandise.

 

Delaware North internships are paid and can be completed for academic credit. This internship will run from September to April.

Pay

$15.00 - $15.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Assist with receiving, organizing, and preparing merchandise for in-store and online sales.
• Pick, pack, and process online orders accurately and efficiently to meet shipping deadlines.
• Upload and maintain product listings in the online store, including descriptions, pricing, images, and inventory updates.
• Collaborate with the retail team to monitor the marketing calendar and contribute creative ideas for upcoming campaigns, product launches, and seasonal moments.
• Help create and schedule retail-related social media posts (product highlights, drops, promotions, etc.) in collaboration with the marketing team.
• Monitor fan engagement on retail posts.

More about you

 

• Interest in retail operations, sports, and fan engagement.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, especially when handling product data and orders.
• Basic knowledge of eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce) is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse setting and lifting/moving merchandise as needed.
• Proficiency in social media platforms.
• Solid writing skills and an understanding of social tone, trends, and timing.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work on-site as needed for content capture or fulfillment.
• Must be at least 18 years old

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Constant lifting, twisting, reaching, bending, and repetitive motions
